About us
Scouts BSA Troop 4 Bethesda was founded in February 2019 as one of the first all-girl troops in the country.

During the school year, the troop meets three Mondays per month at Concord-St. Andrews UMC (intersection of Goldsboro and River Roads in Bethesda, MD). Scouts plan, organize, and lead these meetings along with monthly campouts and other outdoor activities. Annual summer activities include a week-long camp at Goshen Scout Reservation for the entire troop and an additional high adventure activity chosen by our older girls (aged 14 - 17). They may choose to attend a World Scout Jamboree and meet thousands of fellow Scouts from around the world. On their Scouting journey, our girls can earn their way to becoming an Eagle Scout.

Our program is an exciting, challenging platform for all of our girls and their friends. The setting encourages girls to participate in making choices, lead, learn valuable life skills, and experience the adventure of adult-like activities in a safe, supervised environment.

As our girls enjoy their Scouting experience, their efforts align with the aims of Scouting, which are to build youth into quality citizens and leaders by developing character, fostering citizenship, and promoting personal fitness.
